Punggol Accident - Killed 5 years old little girl

yesterday after school when am on my way home, my dad told me he saw 3 accidents when he is on my way to fetch me from school.

One is at the mental hospital there. the another one is some where at the high way (i suppose) and the another fatal one, was at the road towards punggol plaza, under the LRT poles.

A 5 years old little girl, died due to a car accident, when her grandmother was about to bring her to punggol plaza. The driver that hit the little girl was arrested and suspected that he was speeding.

Alot of discussion were down there.
My dad told me, he saw the father rushing here, and started crying when he sees his daughter's body. Her mother, who dont even have enough energy to stand up properly, scream out loud when she sees her daughter's body.

They were sent to the hospital after that.

The crowd started to discuss about who holds the fault.
Some say, its because the grandmother, shouldn't have bring the little girl to jay walk. they should have used the LRT bridge to cross over to punggol plaza.

Some say, by looking at how far the distance between the car and the little girl's body, you can see that the driver was obviously speeding.

Some say, the government should have build the green divider to prevent people from jay walking under the lrt poles.

Some say, both the grandmother and the driver had faults.

But no matter who's fault it is, the little girl is already dead.
because of the irresponsibilities of people, the price they paid was a little girl's life.
How are the parents going to overcome this?
how is the grandmother and the driver not going to feel guilty?
When some thing happens to you, its the people around you feeling the pain.
So please, love youself 2 times more than now.

What i did was:
1. i NEVER text messages or chat on phone with people when i am crossing the road.
to cross a road, you only need for the most 3 minutes (depending on how fast u walk.) to cross it.
Who ever that is contacting you, is more important than you? So important that you cannot spend 3 minutes to cross the road cautiously that can protect yourself?
be it whether you need to spend 10 minutes to walk across the bridge to the another end or you need to walk 5 minutes to get to the nearest traffic light, why save that few minutes of your life and risk you entire life?

2. i DON'T DARE to walk under the HDB flats with NO shelter.
you will never know what is coming down from above.
A piece of window? A flowerpot? An empty bottle of beer (glass materials)?

3. At the red and green line MRT platform, i NEVER EVER DARE to stand near the yellow line.
i have seen very very weird people, when they are waiting for the MRT, they just stand right behind the yellow line. As if that helps the MRT to come faster.
Imagine 2 little kids were playing and the accidentally knock into you from the back and that day you are so "lucky" and you fell into the "black hole" of the MRT rail way.
trust me, you can never get up in time. Cause the estimated time for the MRT to reach the station, needs only about 4 to 6 minutes.

So, why don't you love your life more and take more precautions?
